Official Rebrand (OR) revives clothing that has been discarded, breathing new life into what was once considered waste. Through painting, drawing and other alterations, “rebranding” dissociates clothes from gendered confines and proposes a sustainable alternative to the constant consumption encouraged by today’s social and industrial norms. 

Get a first hand view of this rebranding process as LiTE-HAUS Galerie + Projektraum hosts the artist behind OR, MI Leggett, for a two-week live atelier. MI will rebrand the gallery into their own personal studio, where they invite you to participate in their creative process, which reimagines and transforms cast off garments so they may be enjoyed again. Pop by to get immersed in their forward thinking perspective on style, consumption, and the fluidity of gender.

Official Rebrand (OR) belebt ausrangierte Kleidung wieder und haucht dem neuen Geist ein, was einst als Müll und Abfall galt. Der "Rebranding"-Prozess der*des nicht-binären Designer*in MI Leggett schlägt durch Bemalungen alter Mode, Versehen mit neuen Zeichnungen und anderen Abwandlungen eine nachhaltige Alternative vor, was dem ständigen Konsum, ermutigt durch aktuelle soziale und industrielle Normen, die Stirn bieten kann. Durch diese Transformation außerhalb von Geschlechtern dissoziiert OR Kleidungsstücke von Gender-Kategorien und führt sie ohne arbiträre soziale Beschränkungen wieder ein.

Wir laden alle ein, hier in LiTE-HAUS Galerie + Projektraum zu kommen während MIs zwei Wochenlang "Live-Atelier". MI wird unsere Galerie zu einem Studio transformieren, und will dass, das Publikum kommt, um in MIs Prozess teilzunehmen.

Live Atelier Sitzungen sind Dienstags bis Samstags von 13:00-17:30 Uhr.
